ok, i saw this hp review in july within a few hours of finishing the book, i was just writing my own…
i “think” i left a comment but i cant obviously locate it now…

@Prateek: All hail to Wordpress’s All-in-one-SEO plugin! Seriously, search engine hits have dominated most of my hits since I started using it. And of course, Google’s Webmaster tools, the Google Site Map plugin have given better affinity with Google which Wordpress.com used to do magically… But then since I have moved to a personal hosting, I need to do this little extra work along with trade off a bit with site loading times…
I am looking for better alternatives though, some help would be nice…

I see. Haven’t read 3 mistakes yet so didn’t go through your review but must say that Uma’s Deathly Hallows review deserves that rank with or without SEO.

Not a big fan of SEO myself so won’t be able to offer you any ‘help’ though.

Asides That...

A small idea... -
What I would like to do in the next few posts now is review a few blogs I read at the end of every post. Not really a comprehensive analysis but a small write up, somewhat like Uma's Flotsams or After-thoughts. So that way, I would not just get people knowing what kind of stuff I might like to read, but even those blogs might a get a nice feedback, and of course, may be even comments and visitors. I am not really making a link-exchange program proposal to anyone, but then I guess that is how our blogging networks should grow.

So each time I wirte a Digg-able post, I would make a small write-up about some of the blogs I read, follow and love... It might as well be that little piece of appreciation that fail to give at times. :D

Gravatars Rule... -
One small appeal to every user who reads Wordpress blogs. Make your account on Gravatar and upload a thumbnail image (80*80px) that represents you. What it does is for our blogs and every other Wordpress or Gravatar enabled site is decorate the comments section of every post. Gravatars or Globally Recognized Avatars are linked to your email account and other details that you enter before commenting on a Wordpress blog. Once you enter them and comment, a little thumbnail image comes up.

Like if you see the comments made by me, there would be a picture of me when I was a little kid. The rest are grayed out boxes, including those made by Uma. So please have your Gravatar account created and colour up the web or whichever sites you comment. Whenever you change your avatar, it will automatically change on all Gravatar-enabled sites... which means all Wordpress blogs among more sites...
