Blast from the Past
Posted by Uma Damle | Filed under General, It's My Life, Uncategorized
OK… for all those people who thought I was dead, sorry for disrupting the celebrations but I am still pretty much alive(As alive as one can be after a month of exams). This must be my first post in about 3 or 4 months. Its not like I couldn’t blog because I was totally engrossed in studies (Far from it actually…) but I felt it was best not to invite my parents wrath after their patience had been put to quite a test during DX 2007, considering the amount of time I take to type one post. But after listening to all the things Prashanth says to me(Most of which can’t be said on a blog rated PG 13) regarding not taking the blog seriously I am compelled to start posting again.
I am currently having my boards (Computer Science left to go).Regarding my performance in them, the less is said the better it is. But I kind of couldn’t care less(Or at least I pretend not to..) .My eyes are currently set on something else that is of vital importance to my further education and career.Would speak more about it only when something is confirmed
Apart from all this there is a LOT I need to post on.My exams, my design classes, movies I watched(A lot of them…), music, my new hobbies which include cooking and photography and other inconsequential events of my inconsequential little life. So all those people who want to be spared of listening to all that trash, there is still time until the end of my boards to unsubscribe.
Will be back soon..

- Photography Expedition:
Themed on urban photography, Varun and I tried to show Delhi with a new vista exploiting Gaurav Marmat’s Nikon D80. Traveling around Delhi to get loads of new pictures, we worked our butts off for it. So stay fed for the post that would come up as soon as I activate my Flickr! account…
- Taare Zameen Par Review
Now this one was amazing, everything was perfect. Music, direction, camera work, storyline, choice of actors and acting, etc… Can’t wait to pay this movie some tribute with a detailed review.
- 600 Mirrors Project Details
Currently, this is what is keeping me busy. Will put up updates and details of the whole thing shortly. Trust me, its coming out really well!
How did the ape rule the world?
Posted by Prashanth | Filed under Commercial Clips, Headshot
The ape that I am talking about is the primordial ape or the great-great grand-dad of most of those reading this post. Just how did he come up to so much prominence, after all, he wasn’t anything more than a stupid ape, wasn’t he? The answer is evolving intelligence. A detailed and easy-to-understand explanation lies in this video below…

That was actually the new Mentos ad which although didn’t successfully market the mint but did glorify its tag-line - “Dimaak ki batti jala de” or Turns the lights of the brain on! So well, one of the possible answers to the theories of evolution, Darwinism, and intelligent life is the fact that the ancestors could have by accident consumed something that might have enhanced their mental capacity. As there shouldn’t really be any distinction between the most primitive mammals, the lucky ones might have got hold of a diet or a habit which increased their learning or mental adaptive capabilities. These habits passed on across generations to continuously fine tune the newly found skills and finally create something known as intelligence…
Anyway, too much rubbish with just an ad… I better go off to sleep. I have been living on a 5 hr sleep schedule since a very long time. Now that (almost) all nearby burdens have gone past, I can sit down on a secretive and mystical project code named: 600 Mirrors… (Updates later, so stay tuned fed!)
PS- For those who didn’t get the PJ in the parenthesis, I was referring to RSS Feeds as this is not a program on a radio channel. If you don’t know what that is, Go boil your head here! (Now where did I rip that from?)
