^@%#$* on CBSE..!!

It was just another day at school for me. Loads of studying, a bit cricket and albeit a bit tired only find out the most atrociously shocking news that my CBSE Bored results are out today! Hëll, wait for me to convince my Dad for a new Graphics Card atleast…!!

2 PM: I return from school and almost save myself from a nervous breakdown. CBSE donkeys had sent me mail informing me on a very very ‘long’ notice that my results would be out 2hrs later… Down here, you can see the Gmail screenshot of it. I am not lying!

3 PM: I almost felt as if I would soon turn into an epilepsy patient. Couldnt sleep, couldnt eat, couldnt speak. All I had on my mind was the results. I called up people and informed them that CBSE servers are going to be soon overloaded with more than a lakh students accessing the same thing. So it is better if you have more people checking your results otherwise it would be hours till you see your own score.

4 PM. I am fast asleep. Dreaming about eating a pizza at Slice of Italy or a Foot-long (12″) Footlong at Subway. Suddenly, my thigh starts getting a strange feeling. A missed call by someone woke me up. Its 4:45 already..??

I ran back to my PC and check the site, and then check my mail to find this…

WTF..!! @$#^@#&#**^$%# on CBSE..!! How can they mail over quarter of a million students something like that..??

Both the mails are from different senders, as you observe from above. But both sound official as not anyone but the CBSE guys have access to an NIC account and their vast student database… God, what an embarrassment this is…

And with this, I learnt the fact that I have a very good Hindi Vocabulary. I realized some of my hidden talents today. Thank You CBSE you bloody @#&%#*#^$ ..!!

Nah…you didn’t get the whole thing. The mails were not from CBSE. I’d better not give away the name like this.

dunno…seems like sumbdy’s been practicing his designing skills ;) (or is it?)
Do 4wrd me those mails at ankitsahni13@gmail.com

Ok jokes apart, i guess its pretty easy to do dis kinda stuff…u jus need a server dt has port 25 (dts d SMTP port) open. wen u find 1, jss telnet it nd u cn send a mail frm any adress (say, fer xample, stevejobs@ilovemicrosoft.com or jss abt nethg…)
Bt d catch is, dt generally, if u’re able 2 see d header of a mail, u cn easily figure out wher d mail’s been sent frm. in gmail, u cnt view d header; in msn, u can. So ask ne frends hu hv d same mails on an msn accnt to mail u d headers, nd mayb den u cn figure out whethr dey were fake ones or nt.

Ohh btw, i reely like ur blog…do visit mine at : http://ankitsblog.co.nr/

You can see mail headers in Gmail. Click on the drop down menu button beside “reply” and select “show original” from the menu. That does show the header, and proves these mails were fake.

Gmail is actually better for identifying mail headers. UNIX users would find it impossible to figure out how to use the Windows Hotmail thingy had they not listened to them and updated their new interface.

People switch schools because of parents and pressure from other people. I hope you aren’t going to be changing schools and specially because of any such reasons. Most people who switch end up doing worse in a better school(better only till you join it).

What’s up with this email controversy. Is it real or not? Everyone seems to be having a different view on this email which quite a few people I know have received.

    @Abhishek
Weird of you to think that way about changing schools.

@Abhishak: I have changed my school though. I guess that was too late of a comment. Hey, do you have something against Onkur everytime? (hehehe, instigated a battle now…)
Will tell you soon about the details of the controversy, lemme just finish of the last few FIITJEE packages.
Anyway, just go through the archives… or else, never mind, take this link.. here

    Oh, you left Ramjas? Sad…

I don’t have anything against him. I’m talking about a student in my class who went to RKP and flunked after getting 96% in 10th.

There was a student who got 61.6% in boards, He got admission in RKP and there he started his journey, started his own company and now is a billionaire.

Its definitely not real! I’d really appreciate it if someone could mail me the headers. In fact, i received a mail from ‘admin@gmail.com’ sayin something like ‘We are discontinuing Gmail & Orkut, so kindly backup all your mail & save your contacts before they get erased’…and all this in Spanish! Check out the screenshot here.
